| Frequently Asked Questions |
|---|
Q: What is preformed thermoplastic? A: It’s a durable pavement marking material that comes in ready-to-apply sheets or shapes, activated by heat for easy installation. |
Q: What surfaces can it be applied to? A: It adheres best to asphalt. For concrete or old surfaces, a primer is recommended to ensure strong bonding. |
Q: What tools do I need for installation? A: You’ll need a propane torch, safety gear, and a clean, dry surface. A heat gun may be used for smaller applications. |
Q: How long before traffic can drive over it? A: The surface is ready for traffic as soon as the material cools, typically within 5–10 minutes after installation. |
Q: How should I store unused pieces? A: Store flat in a dry area, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid bending or folding to prevent cracking. |
